Special DMZ (Northern Limit Line) ~ Northern Limit Line, what is it?

The Northern Limit Line (NLL) is a disputed maritime demarcation line in the Yellow  (West) Sea between the North and the South of the Korean peninsula. This line of military control acts as de facto maritime boundary between North and South Korea. 

Aegibong Peak Observatory

Aegibong Peak in Gimpo City is an important historical landmark in Korea, as North and South Korea fought at this mountain during the Korean War. The stunning view from the peak is a sad reminder of the division of Korea into the North and South. From the 154m-high Aegibong Peak, you can see North Korea's kaepung County.

Iron Fence Zone

 Gimpo, close to North Korea, commands a view of the barbed wire fence of the divided Korea, alongside Pyeonghwa Nurigil.

Deokpojin Fort

Deokpojin Fort which is the site of a military camp during the Joseon Dynasty used to fend off enemies heading towards Seoul. The camp was used in battles such as the French and American invasion at the end of the 19th century. The area was part of an excavation and there are lots of cannon foundations rebuilt here. Since Gimpo is so close to the North Korean post, there is also an army guard post here.

Pyeonghwa (peace) Nurigil Road

Pyeonghwa Nurigil is an eco-friendly road with non-paved roads, existing roads, and abandoned roads, as well as military operations roads. Within the Pyeonghwa Nurigil lies the Gimpo Nurigil, which is closest to North Korea, where you can most heavily feel the pain of the divided Korea. Enjoy watching historical battlefields at the coast and military patrol roads as you stroll about 45mn.

Gimpo Marine Park ~ War Ship

Gimpo Marine Park is the only marine park in the metropolitan area with the Unbong LST (Landing Ship, Tank). The Unbong LST was manufactured by Bethlehem Steel Co. in Quincy, Massachusetts, in February 1944. It provides several things to see with a unique LST experience. Inside the Unbong LST, visitors can first see an introduction to the Unbong LST.

DaeMyeong Harbor & Fish Market

Daemyeong port is Gimpo’s the only regional direct seafoods selling harbor from about 60 vessels’ inshore fishery. The Daemyung Port has a lot of ships docked there. There is also the fish market that sells dried seafood and salted seafood, as well as a more general marketplace next to that one.
